Call for volunteers: At-home COVID-19 rapid test kits for kids

During the recent House session, I asked the Minister of Health why private school children were not given access to the same rapid tests as their public school counterparts.

I’m happy to report that the province will soon be distributing these tests to private schools, among other locations.

“Within the next few weeks, private schools, licensed and unlicensed day cares, families with children at home, and homeschooling families with children ages 3-11 will be offered nose swab testing kits as part of an expansion of the program. Each package will contain four (4) take-home rapid COVID-19 tests with a set of instructions on how to complete the test.”

Thank you to my constituents who brought this issue to my attention. I’m very pleased to see your persistence have results.

Volunteers are needed to help put together the rapid COVID-19 test kits. Sign up to volunteer here, *Proof of vaccination is required*. Please share this request around to get as many volunteers as we can.
